Wisdom Calling

“So, my dear friends, listen carefully; those who embrace these my ways are most blessed. Mark a life of discipline and live wisely; don’t squander your precious life. Blessed the man, blessed the woman, who listens to me, awake and ready for me each morning, alert and responsive as I start my day’s work. When you find me, you find life, real life, to say nothing of GOD ’s good pleasure. But if you wrong me, you damage your very soul; when you reject me, you’re flirting with death.”
Proverbs 8:32-36 MSG

Do you hear Wisdom calling?
Don't squander your precious life.
Find wisdom and you find real life and God's good pleasure!

It's early morning and I'm quiet as I pause to begin this Friday. The house is filled with the sounds of silence. The clock face ticks away time, the dog shakes and scratches, the heat is thankfully moving air about, and I catch moments of my own breathing heavy and whooshing through me.

The onion skin paper of my bible lifts and falls with the cycles of my own breath this morning, a visible clue of the wonder in which I'm created. So much good in living though I don't understand how I happen.

Life, real life, comes with Wisdom. I want to participate in that quality of life. That real living. I want to be awake and alert to Wisdom's work each day! I want to experience God's good pleasure!

I don't want to squander my life. I want to live each day fully and fully live. I want to live out each precious moment – even the quiet Friday mornings when I feel my breaths heavy and see the pages flutter along the way.

I hope you're pursuing Wisdom today too. I hope your day is full of wonder and adventure and joy and love. I hope you choose to fully live today!

Blessings today and always! –M
